Cultural Competence

Native Hawaiian Cultural Competence refers to an understanding of the behaviors, beliefs, values and practices of the Native Hawaiian Culture. For organizations dealing with the Hawaiian Community or sharing or promoting the Hawaiian Culture, a high degree of Native Hawaiian Cultural Competence is critically important.

ork with many industries, including the hospitality industry in particular, Food & Beverage, Travel & Tourism, Events, Lodging, and Recreation that provide products and or services to visitors from around the world that come to Hawaii, in part, to experience the Hawaiian culture.

Hawaiian Culture
Competent Branding

We can ensure that what you look, smell, sound, feel, and taste like are culturally sensitive and appropriate relative to the Hawaiian Culture.  Services here include:  Development of Name, slogan, and logo.  Consultation on physical structure, interior, and landscape design.  In addition, we can review and ensure that your marketing, promotions, and customer service programs are cultural competence.

We can assist you in presenting your ideas, product, and or project, to the Native Hawaiian Community.  This will be done in a culturally sensitive and appropriate manner that will enhance community interest, understanding, benefit, and acceptance.

Besides providing general Cultural Competence Assessments for organizations,  we can assess your ongoing Cultural specific program.  Whether it's entertainment featuring Hawaiian music and dance, cultural tours on your property, or any other program or event featuring the Native Hawaiian Culture, we can let you know if it is culturally competent.  Whether you want to improve an existing cultural program or start a new program, we can help.

Cultural Crisis
Intervention & Mitigation

Multicultural Competence
Cross-cultural programs for business are designed to provide organization's with an overview of Polynesian cultures including, but not limited to, Hawaiian, Samoan, Tahitian, Tongan, and Maori cultures.  We also have the capacity to develop programs for many Pacific Rim nations such as the Philippines, Japan, and China. Programs are designed to develop a working knowledge and  understanding of the social, economic, political, and  business environments of targeted cultures.  Our programs will help organizations interact with clients and prospects from other cultures effectively and respectfully.  Programs can be delivered on site throughout the Pacific Triangle and beyond.
